Five New Year’s Resolutions for Brides {About The Dress}

Planning a wedding in 2013? We’ve got five resolution suggestions we hope you’ll consider regarding your dress:

1. I will love myself just the way I am. We mean it! Don’t change a single thing – 10 pounds, longer hair, arms a ballerina would die for, whiter teeth, etc. When it comes to being a beautiful bride, all of those things pale in comparison to the joy that will radiate from within on your wedding day. Don’t be so hard on yourself!

2 I will follow my heart. While choosing your wedding gown, you may find yourself caught between others’ opinions and style aesthetic (including those of blogs, magazines and other media). In those moments, focus on what your instincts are saying, and you’ll make the right choice.

3 I will remain zen. From dress shopping through your wedding day, there may be moments (say, during alterations when the bustle isn’t quite right or your bridesmaid dresses are running a week late) when you feel a stiff drink is in order. When working with wonderful bridal boutiques like those that carry our collection, you are in the hands of professionals. People who live, breath and love what they do, and are committed to take excellent care of you!

4 I will speak up. You know you want that longer train, or wish your hem could be altered to be a smidge shorter, but feel awkward asking. Don’t! Remember, your bridal boutique is your wing-woman, there to help. The last thing any of us want is for you to keep your desires or concerns quiet!

5 I will dance, dance, dance. On your wedding day, when your gown, luminous and thrilling, hangs before you, think of it as magic. Once you slip it on, everything (and we mean everything – the first dance you and your sweetie choreographed, the centerpieces, the food, the weather) will be perfect. Even if it’s not.
