What is English Net? {Bridal Gown Fabrics}

Softer than tulle, more sheer than chiffon, and with a weight and richness that creates a lovely, light drape, English Net is one of those bridal fabrics that seems romantic right off the bolt.

It’s wonderful material that Lea-Ann Belter Bridal is pleased to include in our wedding gown fabric toolbox! Most recently, Lea-Ann added dimension to our dreamy new Bella gown’s gossamer silk organza and hand-cut French Alencon lace applique with a gently draped layer of fine English Net.

As you can see, with a veiling of English Net, Bella’s lace is both highlighted and muted at the same time – kind of like sunlight dappling through trees – while the texture and weight of this wonderful fabric adds a gorgeous, rich flow to her skirt and train.

Kentucky Derby Bridal Style

The Kentucky Derby has a storied history, great food (mint juleps and Hot Browns, anyone?), as well as really fabulous style…all of which makes for wonderful wedding inspiration.

Layered with our 100% silk organza, English net, and hand-cut lace applique, Bella certainly is beautiful! But we’d have to say that her gently-draped bodice, finished with a delicate corsage of handmade flowers and crystals and full, flowing skirt make her a true romantic.

Where to begin? From her full ballgown skirt (with pockets!) and sweetheart neckline to the Alencon lace at her waist, Willow has a singularly beautiful presence. Just a short while ago, we unveiled our Fall 2012 gowns at New York Couture Bridal Market!

Although we’ve been sharing pictures on Facebook, Pinterest, and Twitter, we thought you’d like to be formally introduced to Emily, Stephanie, Natasha, Cali, Willow and Bella. Your local bridal shop (that carries our collection, of course) will have the gowns they chose for their boutiques in just a few months. So, until then, keep an eye out for trunk shows – our freshest frocks are traveling around to give you an exclusive preview!

Emily:

Between her bateau neckline, keyhole back, and crisply-draped waist, Emily has a classic, yet modern elegance that Audrey Hepburn would love! Finished with Alencon lace and made from our 100% silk dupioni, she also has an innate, floating grace!

Lea-Ann Belter Stephanie

Stephanie:

Hand-beaded with pearls and Swarovski crystal, Stephanie’s sweetheart neckline has the perfect amount of glitter. Her carefully-pleated bodice and full ballgown skirt (crafted from our 100% silk dupioni) are fit for Grace Kelly!
